Simon Trevorrow is an award winning Australian-based writer/ director and producer. He started his career in the entertainment industry as an actor, studying at the prestigious Atlantic Theatre Acting School in New York City, where he also first began to direct.
In the past few years, Simon has worked with international artists on a variety of projects, from music videos to short films. Having worked under AFI award- winning producer Trish Lake at Freshwater Pictures, Simon struck a creative relationship with fellow writer/producer Benjamin Robert Hetherington, and in late 2011, formed Andravida Media: a production company concerned with producing thought provoking, entertaining content, for a worldwide audience. His work has been screened on various platforms both domestically and internationally.
‘Match’, a film he produced, screened as part of Melbourne International Film Festival Accelerator program in 2015. Simon holds a Masters degree from the Victorian College of Arts, where his graduating film, “There’s a Bluebird in my Heart” was awarded Film Victoria’s Best Graduate Production. His work was also recognised at the Australian Directors Guild with Best Student Direction and at 50th Worldfest Houston with a Gold Remi award.
Current projects include a documentary about his 93-year-old grandfather, and his undying commitment to competitive running and Fresh- a work place comedy web series about the intersecting lives of stall owners in an inner city fresh food market.
