Arts Centre Melbourne presents Colour Box Studio Creative Conversations, a series of three, in-person, community events held at The Channel, the dedicated learning space nestled in a prime central location along the Yarra / Birrarung next to Hamer Hall.
Building on the success of Colour Box Studio’s online Artist Interview Series, Creative Conversations aims to provide a platform for artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners to come together and explore a range of topics relevant to the contemporary arts landscape. We’ll be facilitating engaging discussions designed to foster dialogue and collaboration within the creative community because we’re at our most creative when we’re inspired by each other.
Hosted by Māori visual artist and podcaster, Maria Birch-Morunga, Colour Box Studio Creative Conversations aims to spark new ideas, forge connections, and inspire our local arts community.
The line up will feature filmmaker and actor Esther Fwati, comedian Sashi Perera, artist and curator Paola Balla, contemporary artist Jody Haines as well as creative director and cultural leader Aseel Tayah along with activist Cyndi Makabory and artist, emerging filmmaker Yasbelle Kerkow. These creatives will share their perspectives and experiences working in the Australian creative industries.
Topics will range from creative inspirations and cultural influences to trials and tribulations. Stay tuned for further announcements on creative guests for the series of conversations taking place on Wednesday 24th, April 29th May and 26th June from 6pm.
Colour Box Studio Creative Conversations will offer the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, share ideas, tips and tricks, and gain valuable insights into various aspects of the creative process, and snacks!
This is a free event and is open to all creatives and the creative-curious. Come along and join a beautifully engaged and like-minded community.
