Join a four-hour workshop on digital story-telling with filmmaker Amie Batalibasi of Colour Box Studio. You will learn techniques on how to film on your device, using audio, basic editing and uploading and sharing on social media.

PAST WORKSHOPS
Colour Box Studio’s Creative Jam
This is an online session where you will work individually for 25-minute intervals and then join a small group during breaks to converse with other creatives. It’s the Pomodoro technique and informal networking combined.
The idea is to carve out time to get your creative work done in solidarity with the community whilst encouraging the creative juices to flow. You never know who you’ll meet or what creative ideas might spark from new connections. Come join us online!

Conscious Creative Practice
Colour Box Studio is committed to supporting wellbeing for artists and creatives through the creative journey, that’s why we’ve joined forces with Creative Therapist, Toya Ricci to bring you Conscious Creative Practice – A Wellbeing Circle for Artists and Creatives.
This online wellbeing circle for creatives offers an inclusive therapeutic space to connect and share the unique challenges facing our industry. Toya Ricci will lead the wellbeing circle from a place of compassion, incorporating elements of experimentalism, cognitive-behavioural therapy, compassion-focussed therapy and solution-focussed therapy.
This one-hour online session aims to give you the support to unleash your creative expression and navigate the challenges and blockages in your life. This event is a chance for our creative community to take a collective exhale.

Protecting Our Stories – Legal Workshop for ASSI Community
Empowering our people and communities with the knowledge, skills and resources to tell our stories in a culturally safe way is vital. I’m honoured that Colour Box Studio is partnering with Queensland United Australian South Sea Islander Council Inc – Quassic Inc in collaboration with Arts Law Centre of Australia to host this free legal workshop for ASSI community.
